As you’ll see, I am taking off over the majestic Lake Atitlan.

The view was fantastic.

I had the help of a guide by the name of Roger Lapointe.

He was an expat from Quebec, Canada who had been living in the area for two decades, working as a paragliding tour guide.

This video is from my perspective.

You will get to see the area just how I saw it.

I didn’t record the entire flight, just lift off and then for a little while into the flight.

This video is of Panajechel boats on Lake Atitlan, which is located in Guatemala.

Widely considered one of the world’s most beautiful and majestic lakes, Lake Atitlan is incredibly beautiful and is definitely worth visiting.

This part of the world is quite beautiful.

It is also rich in history.

Home of the mighty Mayans, travelers who enjoy the culture and arts of the Mayans, should consider visiting Lake Atitlan or at the very least investigating it on their own.

Recently, there have been a great deal of discussion and concern about the contamination of the lake.

Blue algae is taking over it in some areas, causing a great deal of worry and fear.

This blue algae is developing as a result of contamination caused by human beings.

There have been protests to stop the pollution in order to save the lake from a blue algae take over.

This group of enterprising women is from the Guatemalian village of San Juan La Leguna, near Lake Atitlan.

The San Juan Weavers create what are known as San Juan Silky scarves.

These are made using rayon and cotton thread.

The backstrap loop weaving technique is used.

This is a very traditional technique and is one that has been used for a very long time.

The results are gorgeous Silky scarves made by the women of San Juan, working in concert.

This particular lake is the dream destination of many travelers.

After watching this video, you should have a better idea of what all the fuss concerning the lake is about and why it’s important so many people are fighting to keep it clean and free of contaminants.

This gorgeous lake attracts people from all over the world.

At over 1000 feet, the lake is not only beautiful but it is extremely deep.

Lago de Atitlan’s surroundings are also pretty spectacular.

It is surrounded by numerous quaint villages and impressive looking volcanoes.

In this video watch we are using a mail boat to travel across the lake.

The final destination was the village of Santiago.
